Intentional Communities, Ecovillages, and Festivals!

Dear Village,

Join us Sunday March 20th at Sirius Community to celebrate a day of spring awakening. Come early for a meet and greet followed by a Potluck Lunch. After lunch we'll head out for a tour of Sirius where you can hear stories of community ask questions and learn about spiritual and sustainable living. After the tour we'll join hands in our Standing Stone Circle to honor the turning of the wheel and the waking of our Mother Earth in a Spring Equinox Ritual. Following the ritual we will be launching our Community Tour, a 6 month community unity caravan tour of Ecovillages and intentional festivals along the east coast. Then we'll gather round the table to eat, drink and be merry at our Hearthstone Village Potluck. Lots to celebrate and be greatful for on this beautiful day of community!

GYPSY VARDO HOUSETRUCK BUILD WORKSHOP ON THE ROAD!

Purpose: Conversion of a gasoline powered flatbed truck into an electric vehicle with storage batteries and construction of a camper-back tiny house on the bed with wood pallets and sawmill slabs. A bunk area for 2 travelers is built over the cab, with kitchen, lavatory, and the living/dining area on truck bed. Solar panels and a portable wind turbine for RV park set ups are stored in attic space of the tiny house.

Phase 1:

Removal of internal combustion engine (if any) from under the hood of truck, and the installation of an electric motor with a set of two deep cycle (crystal tech?) battery banks installed on bed under flooring for camper-back tiny house.

Phase 2:

Assembly of camper-back tiny house frame from wood pallets, sheathed with slabs sourced from local lumber mills; then finished with salvaged windows (one above cab in bunk area, 3 on each side), and a full sized door with folding step unit in the rear. Split shakes cover tiny house roof. A pot bellied wood burning stove is installed with piping to heat tiny house interior. Electric lights using direct current are wired to a 12-volt (crystal?) cell battery, separate from battery banks powering the vehicle.

Phase 3:

Creative painting of interior and exterior of camper-back tiny house, and the truck cab complete image for this unique nomadic travel vehicle designed in a style seen at Nambassa festival gatherings in rural New Zealand.

Materials Needed to start:

  - flatbed truck body & chassis - without engine if possible
  - electric motor (automotive) to install in chassis
  - deep-cycle battery casings - 8 for crystal battery conversions
  - salts for making crystal batteries
  - wiring (motor to battery banks & for attaching solar panels later)
  - discarded wood pallets - a free source for these
  - sawmill slabs (locally sourced)
  - hardware (nails, screws, hasps, latches, hinges, etc.)
  - pitch or tar paper for truck roof

Materials needed to finish Housetruck:

   - junkyard wood, windows, door, etc. for camper back of truck
   - pot-bellied stove and stovepipe for interior heating with wood.
   - water-based paint, brushes, & rollers for decorating vehicle
Optional: small wind turbine & metal for collapsable tower that may be set up when parked

Gypsy Vardo Housetruck Build Project at Indiegogo
Fundraising Goal is $5,000 USD (60-day campaign)

The build project begins with a series of workshops immediately thereafter (location yet to be determined).

MOVING FORWARD...

Plan formulation for Gypsy Vardo build project begins after ceremonial Launch of the Overland Tour. Crowd-funding platform is to be created for financing the build.

Development of a traveling teaching module designated as the "IN-Community/Unity Link 'n Sync Workshop" is in process, and is to be presented in conjunction with consulting services offered by Infinite Trees Project while on the road. T-Shirt fundraiser for Workshop and Tour promotion powered by Bonfire Funds.

Build Site and launch date for “flagship” Gypsy Vardo Housetruck are not known at this time.

Two Months after I set my intention to launch the "One People of Earth Multi-Directional IN-Community Overland Tour," I joined Lisa & Dani on the Round Table discussion to share how this manifestation picks up where the original O.P.A.L. Tour left off in 2013 ~ JDHWB-R
