During the Autumnal Equinox ceremony at Sirius Stone Circle Sanctuary, the Archetypal Hermit described Raven's descent into the Underworld for the purpose of bringing Greater Light into the World, using the disappearance and re-emergence of his Lantern as symbolic of this event. On our Journey up to the Stone Circle, illuminated Tea Lights were carried by everyone participating in the ceremony and the Cauldron was lit for prayers to be converted into energy as they were presented by each one of us. The moon was waxing toward fullness and total eclipse for the 4th time in two years within the next 4 days...
The Winter Solstice ceremony at the Sanctuary brought illumination from a Sacred Fire lit in the Fire Circle behind the original Farmhouse at Sirius into the Hermit's Lantern and the Cauldron was again lit for receiving our prayers and intentions. As this was the Threshold of Winter approaching, we focused them inward in meditation and then turned them outward toward manifestation come Spring, but when I exhaled the Cauldron was extinguished! Tea Lights were brought to light from it's fire for the return walk back to the Community Center but such was not meant to be. We sang, "This little Light of Mine, I'm gonna let it shine" that a participant in our Autumnal gathering at the Stone Circle sang at that time, as we departed together with the Ninth Archetype's Lantern still carrying its Light from the Sacred Fire...
When the Vernal Equinox comes to Sirius Stone Circle Sanctuary my intention, set prior to the Cauldron of Winter Solstice going dark, is to be made manifest as the Sun's Light grows daily toward culminating in the longest day of the year at the Summer Solstice. ~ JDHWB-R
