~ Elders in Community at Sirius ~ |
On Thursday June 23rd, 2016 I made a commitment to move onto the land and inhabit The Connecting Space, between The Lighthouse and Kailasa, as of July 1st. I leave my rented room within John Sprague's home (a half mile down Baker Rd. from this Eco-village) where I have been living since October 10th, 2015 after completion of a five-week Immersion Program at Sirius Community in Shutesbury, Massachusetts that began on September 6th. I left my home, Bryan-Royster House and my wife of nearly 30 years (who is the mother of my two grown children) earlier that same day to follow my Dream of living intentionally in a sustainable Community - inspired by the book, Builders of the Dawn, written by Corinne McLaughlin and Gordon Davidson, founders of Sirius. Linda Reimer and Bruce Davidson, who is Gordon's brother, are co-founders of this community. as inspired by the "Angel of Sirius"... ~ JDHWB-R

The song in this music video played on car radio inside the 2003 Toyota Corolla I drove from New Bedford to Shutesbury, reminding me of an earlier (hitch-hiking) journey, in the opposite direction from the Golden State to the Bay State back in 1971, when my best friend from high school left me at Green River Junction in Riverside County to thumb my way across the continental United States to seek my fortune. Destination: Nantucket Island... ~ JDHWB-R

A Message From The Hopi Elders
“You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.
Here are the things that must be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know our garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
This could be a good time!
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift, that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river,
keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personal. Least of all, ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves!
Banish the word “struggle” from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we have been waiting for!”
