39th Anniversary of Sirius booth at Celebrate Shutesbury on 9/16

It's that time of year again and soon our annual fall festival will be happening on the Town Common in Shutesbury.  Join us for a bounce house, pumpkin painting, donut eating, a bake sale, a fancy tea, facepainting, vendors, a book sale, a BBQ, kids' activities and more!!  Live music including:

10:00am Dale Reynolds

Shutesbury’s own master musician, host of the Weds night singer songwriter open mic at the Harp Irish Pub, our emcee Dale Reynolds will kick off the day and set the mood with songs that will soothe and rock your soul

10: 30am The Wendell Swamp Sisters

Direct from the Wendell Full Moon Coffeehouse and Wendell Old Home Day, sisters Ajika and Samara Sawyer are not quite teenagers but already accomplished musicians who, accompanied by their dad Garrett Sawyer of the Gaslight Tinkers delight and surprise.

11:30 Valley Women Drummers

The Valley Women Drummers is an all women drum & percussion ensemble founded by Marilyn Sylla of the Bambidele Drummers and Dancers. Using traditional African Dun Dun (bass) drums and other percussion instruments, the Valley Women Drummers enjoy creating and playing rhythms rooted in West Africa, Brazil and the Caribbean. 39th Anniversary of Sirius Community... This Ecovillage, located on Baker Road in Shutesbury, will feature a booth on Town Common during the annual event. Arts & Crafts from Residents & Members will be on display, plus information on programs available at Sirius (founded in September of 1978, by former members of Findhorn in Scotland).
