We are all very saddened by the passing of Josephine Davidson. She was the elder of our community and was a very close friend to so many. 97+ years of absolute brilliance and love! Condolences to all of her friends, family and the wider community that treasured her presence.
One of the founders of Sirius Community Corinne McLaughlin , died this week after facing complications with Parkinsons disease (posted 8/8/18 on Sirius Community website). Her along with her husband Gordon Davidson whom met at Findhorn, were the first Sirius Community stewards of this land starting in 1978. They lived here until 1994 and were instrumental in the first 15 years of shaping and creating community. They went on to found the Center for Visionary Leadership in Washington DC and Corrine worked on president Clinton's Council on Sustainable Development. They eventually moved to California and expanded their center exploring the intersection of politics and spirituality.
Together they founded the World Service Intergroup, an international meditative conclave that met in cities all over the world working for the good of humanity. Gordon and Corinne Coauthored Builders of the Dawn- a book about Community Living, and Spirital Politics- Changing the World from the Inside out. Their third book was The Practical Visionary, a New World Guide to Spiritual Growth and Social Change..She offered a message of hope and inspiration for humanity and is survived by her husband of 42 years.
Please send her on her journey in love and light and hold Gordon in your prayers and let others know who were part of their lives.
