THE OATH, THE BREACH, AND THE DEFIANCE...

St. Paul's Chapel of Trinity Church

PARALLELS - written by Chris Squire, recorded by YES (1977)

When you've tried most everything and nothing's taking you higher.
When you come to realize, you've been playing with fire.
Hear me when I say to you, it's really down to your heart.

It's the beginning of a new love in sight.
You've got the way to make it all happen.
Set it spinning turning roundabout.
Create a new dimension.
When we are winning we can stop and shout
Making love towards perfection.

I've been all around the world and seen so many faces.
Young and old a story told, filling in my spaces.
Now without a trace of doubt I feel it every hour.

It's the beginning of a new love inside.
Could be an ever opening flower.
No hesitation when we're all about
To build a shining tower.
No explanations, need to work it out.
You know we've got the power.

Parallel our sights.
And we will find, that we, we need, to be, where we, belong.
Parallel our heights
Display our rights, and wrongs, and always keep it--STRONG.

It's the beginning of a new love in sight.
Could be an ever opening flower.
No explanations, need to work it out.
You know we've got the power.

It's the beginning of a new love inside.
You've got the way to make it all happen.
Set it spinning turning roundabout.
Create a new dimension.
When we are winning we can stop and shout
Making love towards perfection.

In the Spring of 1977 I lived in New York City, specifically in an urban intentional community known as "Everything for Everybody," founded by John Scully, a former Jesuit priest. During that time I visited St. Paul's Chapel where George Washington consecrated the new republic to God after he was sworn into office as the 1st President of the United States at Federal Hall in 1789. It was a Sunday and I attended the worship service. Later that same Spring I contracted to perform a job that proved to be more than I could handle in exchange for a  limited reward: Seven floors of a building on Leonard Street required contents removal and cleaning in exchange for one month's rent of space on the first floor. Where did I sign this contract and, when completion of the task proved impossible for me to achieve, did I ask to be relieved of my obligation? It was in an office on an upper floor of the World Trade Center's North Tower... During the weekends of July 11-12 and August 1-2, 2015, I had an opportunity to read Jonathan Cahn's novel based upon Biblical prophesy while at Strawberry Hill Farm in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. I was reminded of my personal connection to the places where the Oath to keep America within the protection of God's providence was taken and, when it was clear that the United States had fallen away from its founding principles and lost sight of God, the Breach (events of September 11, 2001) ultimately led to Defiance (building of One World Trade Center, otherwise known as the Freedom Tower). The sycamore is now broken, the cedar has withered and died. - JDHWB-R

"The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars." - Isaiah 9:10

THE HARBINGER by Jonathan Cahn

Jonathan Cahn says that The Harbinger is a fictional story which is nevertheless concerned with a real-life connection: a prophecy about ancient Israel that was eventually fulfilled in the eighth century BC when Israel was destroyed, and certain events and facts related to the 9/11 terror attacks against the U.S. in 2001. Cahn calls these events and facts "harbingers," and argues that they show a connection between ancient Israel's destruction and a possible coming destruction of present-day America. He also says that ancient Israel received a warning before being destroyed, and that the 9/11 harbingers form a similar warning from God to America...
