15 - THE DEVIL - Interference due to Separation (Samew; Capricorn)

Encounters Obstruction....

The Appearance of bondage to the concept of being Separated from God; the illusion of self individually detached from the creative Source and in turn separated from other selves. This mirage is the root cause of Egotism which generates competition and strife among human beings. The visual representation of this card is the antithesis of The Lovers, with the sixth card in particular shown to be representative of the human condition before the Fall that caused expulsion from Paradise. The tails of the Man and Woman are lesser indicators of the respective Trees, i.e. Life and the Knowledge of Good and Evil, and their bondage to the pedestal upon which the Baphometic figure sits shows the results of partaking in the Forbidden Fruit. The Separation into materiality is the means of taking the Divine Spirit through a multi-faceted projection into individuated Souls whereas each Ray is obligated to re-discover its creative Origin in the Source of all Being. Herein lies the symbolism of the personal Ego, an illusion in Truth but the specific obstacle all Incarnated Beings must overcome in order to reach liberation from the Karmic Wheel, i.e. the Cycle of rebirth. All of the strife, greed, prejudice, hate, selfishness, lust, and Evil intentions of all kinds imaginable are the result of personal Egotism; individual manifestations of unbelief in the unity of all Consciousness within the Mind of the Source who dwells within all of us. Each incarnated Being has the Key to open the Door of Realization regarding this Truth, yet the Understanding that material existence (solidity) is an illusion must be recognized first. The obscuration of this Reality is the role of the proverbial Threshold Dweller represented on this card. Transcendence of Limitations is the act which sets us free. My mother was given a black kitten, along with a gray one, from a friend when I was 4 years old and living in Pasadena, California. She let me name it "Inky," but not long after arrival, she went outside during a rainstorm and vanished. The gray one I named "Cloudy," and lived over 17 years as our family house cat before passing away.

Twenty years later, I was given a black kitten by my business partner's secretary, and I chose to name her "Inky" as I was a successful pen & ink artist living on the island of Nantucket, in Massachusetts.  After creating a pair of originals for historical posters over the Winter, my cat was chasing June bugs in the courtyard where I lived and vanished. Soon thereafter, my art business that supported me for two years with seasonal income collapsed. I came to understand that good fortune had forsaken me and it took a divorce and 12 years for me to recover from this reversal. Therefore, art commissions that were my mainstay became a secondary form of income; supplementing employment at a resort hotel, house painting as an independent contractor, and at a newspaper as offset pressman. ~ JDHWB-R

March 25th, 2017... Illumination of Threshold Lantern in Repose

New Reiki-Charged Green Candle

On my Sixty-Seventh birthday in this Life a White Candle was lighted in this Lantern at the Stone Circle Sanctuary of Sirius Community in Shutesbury, Massachusetts, USA. The date was March 19th, 2017. On the Vernal Equinox, I led a procession of Members, Residents, and Guests upstairs into the Octagon of the Community Center to begin the ceremony... and my Lantern went dark on the top step, as the White Candle was spent. Meditation Candle in the center of the room was lighted and the ceremony continued "off script" due to my being unprepared for this situation. Though this celebration of entry into Spring was a successful observance of transition into the season of rebirth after the dark days of Winter, I fell into a personal abyss of doubt and uncertainty as Shadow of the Archetypal Hermit, the Grim Reaper, confronted me with my own unresolved Fear of the unknown. Just a day earlier I was confirmed as a Full Member of Sirius Community by the Core Group, so I was totally unaware that my Lantern going dark would trigger me the way it did. The next step was an obvious one for someone who considers himself to be a Lamplighter... I went into Northampton and picked up a new Reiki-charged Green Candle, representing Heart, which I illuminnated yesterday before first light in the Lantern Room of the Connecting Space where I reside on the land at Sirius Community. I now stand on the Threshold of personal psychic integration, where I AM prepared to face the Reaper's scythe on a Bridge of Fire. ~ JDHWB-R

Lantern on the Last Day of Winter

I sent this letter to the internal listserv for Sirius Community and also eCricket listserv for the Hearthstone Village and beyond... It presents my intention for the Spring Equinox celebration, that already began changing form before it began at 7:30 pm on March 20th at the foot of the stairs leading to the Octagon in the Community Center... I lit the Threshold Lantern before beginning our processional climb, only to watch it go out when reaching the top step, as its candle was totally spent. So, I was humbled by surrender to the unknown and went "off script" by lighting the Meditation Candle at center of the star pattern on floor of the Octagon. During our recent Annual Retreat at Sirius Community, the "Surrender" Angel Card came up for me and impacted me deeply. I shared this insight with those of us who participated in our Celebration of Spring and opened the floor for "popcorn style" sharing of what Spring and the symbolism of rebirth means to each one of us. Everyone living at The Lighthouse in our Community was in the Octagon among us present. One of the Founders and an Intern represented the Long House, a Member from Morning Star, plus a member from the Phoenix House, and a Hearthstone Villager living across Baker Road from Sirius, participated in this event; my first as a Full Member of this Community living on the land in the Connecting Space, between The Lighthouse and Kailasa... I AM prepared to do my part in brightening our Light on this Hill in Shutesbury, Massachusetts and drawing energy into this Ecovillage for renewal of Life, as Spring renews the Earth after the dormancy of Winter has receded with increasing sunlight following passage of the Vernal Equinox... ~ JDHWB-R

I AM playing the role of the Hermit (9th Archetype in the Tarot Major Arcana) at 7:00 pm, leading us upstairs to the Octagon inside our Community Center, as about a foot of snow remains on the ground at Sirius Stone Circle Sanctuary where turning of the wheel of the year ceremonies for the seasons are usually held. 9 - THE HERMIT - Introspection and Internal Illumination (Teth; Virgo)

Seeks Wisdom of the Source....

The Light shines from within the Soul; the view from the Summit which puts life into its proper perspective. This vantage point is accessed via looking to God who dwells within us; the infinite Creator being the reservoir of all the answers which the Seeker pursues. Each one of us is symbolized by the Lantern image; God's Light of inner awareness being the Candle Flame. Wisdom is the transcendental interpretation of knowledge as illuminated by the Light shining within one's Soul. All barriers of the material World are beneath the Cosmic Consciousness of the Hermit who has already traveled his Path of Quest. His search has led him to the Summit of his own perfection. Now, from this great height he can see 360 degrees without obscuration. His Lantern is held high as an inspiration to all who aspire to attain the Wisdom which he has come to realize during the process of his own Soul journey. The isolation and abstinence image sometimes given to the Hermit is one of the past; a glimpse of his travels through the physical and emotional wasteland where the misrepresentations of life as seen through the perception of the Physical Plane have been experienced and eventually transcended. This Archetype passed through a period of solitude and alienation during this walk through the proverbial "Valley of the Shadow of Death" that could have driven him Mad had it not been for the Light in his Lantern penetrating the Darkness and illuminating his Soul thus granting him hope of deliverance. The Hermit has indeed been carried through this initiatory Journey via his unwavering Faith in the Universal Source who Teaches and Guides all of us internally. The Lantern which he carries symbolizes his inner Vision provided via his "Third Eye" (Candle) which grants this Archetypal traveler a keen sense of Spiritual insight. I AM Lamplighter, One of Many. My Teaching is: How to Light the Lantern located at the Seat of your Soul… the Heart Center. In spectral light, the Color is Green. The Heart is connected to the Crown, spectral light color Violet; to the Third Eye, spectral light color Indigo; and to the Throat, spectral light color Blue… from Above. It is connected to the Solar Plexus, spectral light color Yellow; the Loins, spectral light color Orange; and to the Root, spectral light color Red… from Below.

When we are born, this Lantern is dark. What we see is reflected light… that which is presented and observed through the five physical senses… sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The sixth sense is inactive because the Soul Lantern is not yet lit. Everything is mirrored. Refraction displays the Illusion of Separation… many Human Beings moving in multiple directions, often conflicting and in opposition or competition… lacking Synchronicity. Harmony is haphazard at best.

Vision of the composite whole is only visible through Internal Illumination… radiating from the Heart Center when you light the Lantern of your Soul. The Ego must stand aside in order for an Aspect to contact Source, through the Heart… the I AM Presence.

Meditation is the Key to Internal Illumination. The mind must be void of conscious thought… No internal dialogue to distract from the Silence of Presence. Seek an imaginary point upon which to focus concentration in the absence of thought. The path to Source traverses the individuated Soul, up the Spine from the Root, to the Sacral, to the Solar Plexus, through the Heart and then connecting the Throat, the Third Eye, and the Crown. As the Root passes down into the core of Gaia, the center of the Earth, the Crown reaches upward into the core of the Sun, heat and Light generator for our planet at the edge of the Milky Way galaxy within the known Universe. Then, Time and Space are transcended as individuality merges into Oneness with the Source – God, who IS the sum total of all aspects, or individual expressions, of Source. We are collectively the Creator manifesting as his/her Creation. There is no separation; only Unity – Oneness. Every aspect of Source exists in Harmony within this Unity.

We are all One Life… One Being having a human experience through the kaleidoscope of separation. Namaste – The I AM in You is the same I AM in Me. Everyone is connected at the Source level, accessible through the Heart center when we silence the Mind and enter a transcendental state of Meditation. Simultaneous Synchronized Meditation has the Power to change the world!

Separation disappears when mind is aligned with Heart in Source… Harmony among all living beings is understood. We see ourselves in Community with everyone else on the planet… and connected with the Universe. When enough people recognize this interconnectedness, reaching critical mass with conscious choice to live in Oneness, Light will shine away the darkness of separation and the Earth will be transformed by our synchronicity of intention. Cooperation replaces competition, as the imbalance of “power over” becomes the harmony of “power within,” so sharing with each other comes naturally to all who center themselves in Heart. We all give and we all receive because we are all One Being. Responsibility is a shared experience and rotates through everyone in Community. We serve each other, build together, pool resources, and make collective decisions via the consensus process. All land in Community is held locally in common. Dwellings are held by inhabitants as long as they participate in Community; going into a pool for re-distribution should they pass away or leave to go elsewhere, such as another local Community.

Open source distribution of goods and services, both within each local Community and among other Communities, replaces the proprietary market system of the old paradigm with a network of cooperative enterprises; Community-based and operating on a work/share basis that is open to everyone who chooses to participate.

In Community together, we share the Light of Source via collective Internal Illumination from our Heart center and synchronized Meditation with the galactic Core Alignment of December 21, 2012 when Earth crossed the Ecliptic, or Event Horizon, which is the black hole at the center of the Milky Way… With our Heart center consciously connected to Source energy, we collectively have the power to change the world by transcending Separation and realizing our Unity as One Being in the Universe. We manifest as a multiplicity of multi-dimensional Aspects for the purpose of expressing of our collective creativity… Namaste.

The I AM in You is the same I AM in Me. We are all One! When the Soul Lantern is lit with the Light of Source we shine direct Light via our Heart center, thus replacing the reflected light mirrored by the five senses. Our sixth sense awakens, and the Unity of all life forms is revealed as we see with our Third Eye as directed by Heart… Lanternwalk is Community. We synchronize our minds in Heart and walk together in the Light of Source. Egos vanish in collective Mind when it is immersed in Heart. Separation ceases to exist. No “power over,” no hierarchy… only horizontal relationships among each other emanating “power within” as God, the Universal Source, dwells within each One of Us.

We stand together, wherever we are on the surface of this planet, as Watchers for the cusp of this global Paradigm Shift in Consciousness… the Awakening of Lightworkers everywhere! As Gatekeepers, we hold the Light of Source and shine our Heart Lamps as Beacons for all who choose to wake up and Unify together building Community on Earth… and sharing this Unity in Source with all who are willing to heed the call and join us… as Participants in the Great Shift triggered by the alignment of Earth and the Galactic center of the Milky Way.

We are Lamplighters, now Awakened in our Heart center with the Light of Source, and are called to share the Key to Internal Illumination; Mystical Meditation. Only by going inward, may we experience the Oneness of God, the Universal Source of Life, and only by shining our Heart Light may we enjoy Community with other Awakened Human Beings… in order to Light the dark Lanterns yet to know the Quickening of Spirit which comes with receiving Illumination within the Heart Center.

Lanternwalk is the sharing of this Internal Illumination by Walking in the Light among others, whether or not their Lanterns are Lit… for darkness ALWAYS flees the Light.
